How to read ingame mail?

Hello!
I have a little problem. I got ingame mail.

When I press “new mail” button I got nothing.
I cant understand what to do.

There are big red mailboxes outside the post offices in towns (but don’t confuse them with the Kafra quest boxes next to the quest boards).
